An evangelist by the name of Daniel Couch was starting a revival at our church on this night. My wife Leisa and I were the only two people in our congregation that had ever met Bro. Daniel and Sis. Wendy. I had warned our people that during "this week" of revival they would find themselves on an emotional roller coaster. I told them they would find themselves going from mad to glad, happy to sad, laughing to crying, and from dead to alive! Bro. Daniel came to our church on a mission from God.
The first couple of nights the altar wasn't big enough to hold all the church members who were laying on their faces weeping and crying out to God. It made a few mad, but the majority were glad.
We decided that we were going to do whatever it took to bring revival. Bro. Daniel kept preaching and we kept repenting. It took about two or three nights to get us where we needed to be in order for God to be able to do what He had planned for this revival.
From the middle of the first week to the end of the fifth week our altar wasn't big enough to hold all the unsaved people that were
coming to give their hearts to the Lord. At the end of the fifth week when the dust had settled a little bit, there had been a total of 120 souls saved in this little country church in Southeastern Kentucky. And believe it or not, that was just the beginning of the total change and make over of everyone of us.
I have never in my life seen an evangelist with more of a call and anointing than Bro. Daniel. The dedication and sacrifice that this man and his family made for our little church will be forever more remembered in the hearts and lives of everyone who was touched during this revival. Because of Bro. Daniel's genuine heart for God, and faithfulness to Him, we at The House Of Prayer have gone
from being just a "Good church", to being a "Much Much BETTER" church.
Thank you Bro. Daniel & Sis. Wendy for your faithfulness, dedication, love and friendship, that will never be forgotten by us here at The House Of Prayer.
Your friend forever,
Pastor Donnie Parrett
